Redefining Success: My 90-Day Transformation Experiment
Mapping Out 'Primed 90': Building in Public and Embracing Challenges
Starting at zero is an interesting place to be. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Unfortunately, it’s also filled with unknowns.
I decided to ‘give up’ a couple of weeks ago, and it’s started pushing around the beliefs and expectations that had been accruing. I want to make bold statements like…
“I stand before you, a new man!”
But that feels disingenuous. I stand before you an evolved man I guess. Also, I’m not really starting from zero.
Starting from where?
My past 3 months ended with failure.
I hadn’t realized at the time what I was headed towards. Honestly, I was sure it was just going to onward and upward, forever I guess.
The ‘new man’ part of all this is me realizing that it’s great to set hard stops, or at least hard check-ins, on a regular basis and honor them.
I’m starting my own, self-made challenge right now. It’s a bit of an experiment and a bit of a new working model moving forward. “Something from nothing” is the challenge, and I’m mapping out my “Primed 90” business plan.
“Primed” because I’m preloading the deck with knowledge and intention.
“90” because it’ll last 90 days.
So, I’m starting from nothing, but a primed nothing that has the wisdom gained in the past 90 day ‘sprint.’
My 90-Day Goal
Just to put it on paper now, and to build in front of an audience, I’m stating my goal.
“Ninety days from now, so roughly the start of November, I will have created a handful of ‘offerings and incentives’ available to my paid subscribers at Channeling Chaos or to people as an incentive to follow me in general.
In 90 days, I expect to have marketing landing pages, marketing copy, ‘sales funnels’ and a path to income that has already started to generate some amount of revenue.”
My focus is on creating a system for getting started as an entrepreneur, but with the focus on making it accessible and sustainable for the unfocused, the distracted and the unmotivated. If it works for someone with ADHD then it will work for everyone.
Moving forward
I say again, thank you to everyone that follows me here, it’s a small group, and quiet. I’m writing to you for my benefit, to keep me honest. I don’t want to believe that it’s going completely unread, so I’ll pretend that there are some readers interested. I’m grateful to you!
I thought last week that I was going to put this newsletter on hiatus while working on Channeling Chaos, but a meeting with Kat Nieh inspired me to keep it up, partly to let me write about something other than the inside of the business, and also to keep me from just writing MORE over there and scaring people away. Thanks,
!Next week I’ll have my plan mapped out, I may stick it up on this page somewhere. At the very least, I can start to explore the progress and truly be ‘building in public.’
See you then!
I love this, Jody! You’re inspiring me to do the same, and excited to support each other on this 90 day journey ahead!
And thanks for the shoutout. ☺️ Means a lot. Glad it made a difference and that it’s transforming into this wonderful experiment!
